My VARTA on the e46 compact lasted 8years
Varta make some good shit.
Optima battery. They handle the cold much better.
A lot of people say the Optima is not a good battery anymore, but I continue to have good luck with them.

Svaki dan auto u pokretu, samo nisu velike kilometraze .
Rekao bih ti Varta, vise njih sam imao i trajali su jako dugo. Mislim da je rekorder bio 8 godina... Isti taj od 72Ah.
Hatte beide Marken schon. Aktuell auch eine Varta Blue EFD drinnen.
I have the same problem! Overcharging - 14,9V. Had AGM Varta, I put new Acid Varta and recoded to Lead Acid battery. But there is no difference - charges 14,9V, I think, this is too much!
Am luat una noua, Varta. Firma, calitate ????. Am luat-o acum 2 ani, start-stop a mers fix 3-4 luni, si acum, mai ales cand e frig, se chinuie.
I purchased one because of my car stereo upgrade, thinking it would be a better choice. Within a few weeks, I noticed that my cranking was slow and labored. It is almost seven months later, and I find myself having to randomly jump-start my car. Note: At first, I was concerned that my audio amps were not turning off properly and checked to confirm that everything was off. I think I may need to go with a different solution now.
