Pagid is one of the industry leaders in brakes. They have other single piece cast rotors in the $100/ea range, just make sure you stick with something that uses a high carbon alloy. There's nothing wrong with going single piece, Stoptech's performance rotors are just drilled and slotted Centric high carbon single piece rotors. If you're going to keep the car long enough to realistically think you'll change the rotors again, then FCP Euro for the lifetime warranty. I've run Stoptech Sports and they're fantastic but make a fair amount of noise at the end of their life and expensive now.

Pros: fantastic performance, good value
Cons: noisy at end of life, expensive
Vehicle: BMW

Switching to Centric rotors (Stoptech) and akebono pads. At first I thought the slight pulsing was warped rotors, but sanding the surface of the rotors, made it go away.

Pros: sanding fixed pulsing
Cons: factory brakes lacking
Mileage: 50000 km

Before my StopTech BBK, I ran Centric high carbon blank rotors. They are affordable on Rock Auto, and lasted forever.

Pros: affordable, lasted forever

Centric Brake discs

I’m a big fan of centric brand rotors and pads. I’ve used their economy rotors with their premium pads and hardware kits on several cars with excellent results. My in-laws are known to ride on your bumper with enough room to catch a credit card between them and the car in front of them and they’ve had no complaints.

Pros: excellent results
Cons: economy rotors

Awesome! I used StopTech. Wanted slotted only, but they shipped me drilled and slotted. Oh and I went on doing the braided steel brake lines too for fun. So far so good ????

Pros: so far so good

Centric Brake discs

My current brake pad and rotor are a centric blank and csg sprint C1s, and they’re great. Good bite, nice pedal modulation, great cold performance, and won’t overwhelm a daily grind tire. My previous were centric drilled rotors and pmu club racer pads. They were fucking amazing, but on a commute they were totally overkill (and fun) and I felt like they only made sense when I ran R comps. Otherwise it was ABS lights all day.

Pros: good bite, great cold performance
Cons: overkill for daily commute

The StopTech Zinc Coated Drilled and Slotted Brake Rotors I’m using started their life as Centric 120 (121) blanks: https://www.buybrakes.com/brake-rotors/stoptech-drilled-slotted-brake-rotors-best-price-select-227

- The next step up is the 127 series high carbon rotor, but the cost is 2x the StopTech 227 series Centric 120/121 rotor and performance is roughly the same, only longevity changes as the hat is painted (vs the Zinc coating on the 227). I’ve had this set on my 2013 G37S for a couple of years now and performance is slightly better than stock with almost no brake dust thrown from the 305/308 series Centric pads that ship with the kit.

Pros: better than stock performance, low brake dust
Vehicle: Infiniti
Part number: 227

Centric Brake discs

I have the same pad compound but I end up just buying some cheap Centric blanks. The rotors end up taking in so much heat that they'll end up with a crack here and there. I just end up tossing the rotors and pads, they're relatively cheap so it doesn't bother me much.

Pros: relatively cheap
Cons: prone to cracking, take in heat
Vehicle: Ford Focus
