Brake discs GALFER or OEM Honda
Switched to Galfers last year on 2 bikes: rival and force. Out of my opinion, very well machined discs doing their job. I’m satisfied..
Buy Honda ones from the Honda dealership
I really like my galfers, but they were some money.
I run a Galfer floating front disc with sintered Galfer pads on my 401. It doesn't seem to stop any faster but feedback is better and the bike feels a lot more stable under hard braking. Would recommend.
Heard good things about galfer rotors
My local shop recommended trying Galfer rotors which is what they run with Maguras and it’s made a difference on my front brake which is the only one I have had rub issues with. Galfer rotor with new pads took about a week to break in with no rub.
I’m running Galfer Wave rotors 203/180 with the E-bike pads front, pro pads rear. It’s so much more brake than I will ever need.
For instance, on my Honda Fit, I went aftermarket on the brake rotors because the factory ones had a habit of warping with my driving.
OEM rotors were badly warped within the first year and Honda refused to warranty because they were “still in spec”. Of all OEM Honda parts, I think their brake rotors are one of the worst quality I have experienced.
Why are Honda original equipment rotors such garbage?
