Brake pads Akebono or Bosch
Last month I've passed inspection and they told me that the rear left handbrake was almost out of spec and I'd need to check it out although it passed. So a month later I've bought a Bosch kit, sliders, pads, grease, toolkit etc and replaced the 1 year old ferodo pads. Now handbrake is like it should be and I'm happy with it but take a look at the old pads...Both inner side alignment pins (caliper side) are bent.
I replaced my pads at 70k from factory. Had ATC on the whole time and I use PROPilot Assist and Intelligent cruise control often and most of the time it's together. Very minimal pad wear after replacing. The factory ones squeaked when it was cold but would go away after some heat, I went with the Akebono ASP pads this go around and no noise at all.
I got the Zimmermann coated rotors and Akebono ceramic pads from FCP Euro. The braking power and smoothness are way better than what I had with the scrapy metal sounds before, lol.
I went from stock pads directly to Akebono ProACT. Once they bed, they will feel be the same or better than stock. Not rough, not loud. I mention the bedding wait because initially the bite wasn’t there and I was a little concerned but after the pads ate away the protective coatings on new rotors it was the same or better.
I paired centric rotors with akebono pads and they were great
I installed the ProActs on a different vehicle (wife's Lexus) and from here on out, it will be my go to pad. Just seems to stop smoother, quieter, and less dust than the OE.
I put Akebono ProAct pads & Raybestos Element 3 for rotors on my Honda. For quiet pads & rust protection. The quality to price point was my deciding factor.
If we're talking brake pads highly recommend aekobono brake pads just truly different very smooth no noise and will last easily 60,000 miles
Bosch szettet vettem. Baj nincs vele, 60k km de a 0.tól kezdve nyikorog, mint a picsa.
I have had a different experience; total junk. 15K miles and they squeal like nobody's business.
