Brake pads Akebono or Bosch
Akebono pads and brembo rotors avail at fcp/ecs - best combination I’ve had so far and I’ve tried textar, pagid and trw, (trw is a close second but more dust than akebono)
I’m currently running Akebono performance pads (yellow box) and they have been great! No noise, minimal brake dust and way better stopping power.
Depending on the tier of pads Autozone does source from Bosch. The big benefit to Autozone is that you only pay once as they do a lifetime warranty and it covers wear. I have their most expensive pads on my car and have replaced them twice a year for 5 years now.
I've been running Bosch pads for about 12 years now never an issue on any make or model.
Akebono pads are pretty quiet and fairly clean too. They are OEM on some Mercedes. They are on my wife's 91 Cabriolet [w/Scirocco 16V F/R disc brakes]. Zimmerman rotors are pretty good. So are Textar.
I have a bunch of BMWs and swear by Zimmerman and Akebono. The akebono metallic pads don’t produce dust and they brake as well as the more expensive ones.
I love love love the Akebono ceramic pads for daily drivers. Little fading. Low (almost no) dust which keeps the wheels nice and clean.
Akebono pads if they make them for your application.
They are quiet and can tolerate cheaper chinese steel rotors.
I used Akebono pads and Zimmerman rotors. At first I didn't think they had the same bite as the OEM pads. After a few hundred miles they are good.
I had Akebono pads last time out with OEM and they were great. Low dust although they wore rather quickly.
