Brake pads Akebono or OEM Hyundai
Brake pads I went with Akebono ceramic pads. I don’t even see the brake dust from these. Brake pads squeal once on reverse on cold days but no noise after that but this is pretty common. Great bite when braking hard. If I had to replace again I would go with these again.
I'm very happy with the Akebono pads that I put on all four corners of my FA5 a few months ago. No noise, low dust, and good bite for daily driving.
Ceramic pads are quiet and create minimal dust. I have the Brembo package and definitely lose some initial bite after installing Akebono Cermics, but I have grown accustomed to it. Love not having to clean dust off of my wheel all the time.
For me as an owner of a 2019 Hyundai Veloster with 60k and after 5 years of ownership , the only thing I had to do was change the oil , filter and brake pads.
Yes Akebono Ultra Premium for pads and Brembo rotors are great.
I've used akebono aftermarket pads twice in the past. They work fine.
I did a full weekend around 90 min per day of track time on a set of Akebono Euro pads. I had expected to wear them out, but wear was minimal even with every lap having a 120-40mph full ABS brake. A bit of odor, but no fade on my E46 BMW 330i.
Ran these for four years on the redsport better then the stock Akebono. Only changed the pads once
Akebono pads are fine, but not great.
I used to own a 2012 sonata and one day last year the brakes started acting extremely sensitive and would even to activate on their own (it would cancel out cruise control when my foot wasn’t touching the brakes) and would cause my car to feel like it was stalling out.
