After a year I replaced the brakes and rotors, and the mechanics specifically said to stick with major brands like Bosch because they are standard, easy to work on, and easy to order parts for.
Was told to replace all my discs and brake pads too a few weeks back when I did my MOT. Tight on money atm so decided to do it myself and I’m glad that I did because I saved myself a lot of money, only paid for parts and then a few hours of my time. Ordered the whole set from AutoDoc and the total was £220 for Bosch parts, so not exactly budget either. Also, garages with cheapest quotes might opt to use budget parts which could end up squeaking etc, so just keep that in mind, but I’d say do it yourself if you wanna save the most money.
I do not recommend these for the street, however the track performance is off the charts.
They’re track/race pads, but I rarely track my car. It’s not a daily, just a fun weekend car, but I find the pad performance to be amazing and they’re not noisy like everyone says they would be.
Bosch quiet cast brake pads and rotors are a phenomenal aftermarket option.
The problem is the OEM pads. I replaced my pads and only the pads with BOSCH pads, and it brakes fantastic now.

I've got AutoZone's gold ceramic pads on mine right now. They are made by Bosch, I know because they drop-shipped from the Bosch factory. Grippier than OEM, quiet for daily driving and decent for spirited driving.
However, the biggest difference I've noticed was going from good brake pads to great ones. I recommend anything by Project Mu (I use their RC09 "Club Racer")
I went for Bosch models. Fronts have faired much better than oem. Rears I had some other issues (didn’t use service mode) that destroyed them prematurely
