Brake pads Centric or OEM Honda
Been running “Centric Posi Quiet Ceramic Brake Pads” since 2020 and nearly zero dust.
Pros: nearly zero dust
Two rotors=$100. Set of pads about $50. Couple wrenches, jack and jack stands.
Pros: easy to replace

Get a set of Centric PQ (posi-quiet) pads and rotors. Way better than any of the big chain brick and mortar store offerings for less $ too

All 10th gen civics do this.. 10th gen accord, and we've noticed it on some 11th gen civics, too... There was an updated pad that's supposed to help with it..

Centric Posi Quiet Ceramics & 120 Series rotors from Tire Rack. Though not a CX5, my Mazda6 is running at 60k miles on this set.
Pros: long lasting, quiet

Zimmerman Cross drilled rotors from FCP Euro with Centric posi quiet ceramic pads. So much less brake dust with these pads compared to stock.
Pros: less brake dust
First set lasted 70k, the second set 50k as I was cheap and did the pad slap.
Pros: long lasting
Cons: premature wear

2019 civic. Replaced front pads and rotors at 90k miles but only because road salt fucked up rotors which caused the pads to wear unevenly.

When I had my Honda, a freak incident occured involving pads. I was coming up to a red light and I just heard a "thunk" and next thing I know, I had little to no-brake power. Took the wheel and caliper off, and somehow the outer pad had completley vanished....no joke, gone, nothing left, not even a shred of metal.
