I replaced all 4 sets of pads on mine with Centric ceramic pads from rockauto. They are quiet and set brake dust. They have excellent grip on the new rotors.

Pros: quiet, low dust, good grip

I like Centric’s Posi Quiet brake pads. A little more bite than original pads with substantially less brake dust.

Pros: more bite, less dust

At 55,XXX miles and still haven’t changed my brakes on 2019 AWD Mazda 3(not as heavy as yours but heavier than a FWD 3) Last service, I was in the green for both sets still, but they said I would likely be in “yellow” by 60-65k. I did want to note—I hear no scraping/squealing and brakes feel relatively strong just not as great as new.

Pros: brakes feel strong
Cons: not as great as new
Vehicle: Mazda 3
Mileage: 55000 km

Centric pads and rotors are pretty good. As said above Akenono is OE for pads, maybe rotors too. I run Akebono pads and Brembo standard rotors on my cars. Nice and clean and never any noise and I swear the standard brembo rotors stop harder the centrics drilled/slotted rotors.

Pros: quiet, clean, good stopping

OEM Mazda Brake pads

2015 sedan. I did my brakes last spring. I went with OEM as I found them cheaper than any aftermarket I could find near me and as far as I knew I still had OEM on my car and had lasted me a long time. Zero issues since having them installed, I’m happy.

Pros: zero issues, long lasting
Vehicle: Mazda 3

Centric Brake pads

A few years ago I went with Centric Posi-Quiet Ceramic front pads - CENTRIC 10505690, currently $25.79 on RockAuto, and some Pagid front rotors from there. I know Pagid is a VW OEM and I have no reservations about their brake parts. I’ve run the posi-quiet pads on MK7 Golf and GTI and they’ve been fine.

Pros: they've been fine
Part number: CENTRIC 10505690

OEM Mazda Brake pads

Changed the pads front and rear was super easy and straight forward. Then after taking the car out of 'electric brake service mode' and starting the car I get the a yellow check engine light and code C05AB, clearing it made no difference. Only thing I could find online was "The electronically controlled brake unit detects that the pressure feed valve (primary side) is stuck ON (OPEN)."

Pros: easy installation, straightforward
Cons: check engine light, code C05AB
Vehicle: Mazda 3

Mazda brakes are notoriously shit. They’re garbage. Buy a set of PowerStop brakes and be done with it. They’re far superior to the Mazda brakes. Go on any forum and you’ll see countless people having the same issue as you. New brakes between 15-20,000 miles. Me included. I’ve owned 2 6s from new. Both needed brakes around 20,000 miles. Both times I put on PowerStops and never had another issue.

Pros: PowerStop superior, no more issues
Cons: Mazda brakes garbage
Vehicle: Mazda 6
Mileage: 20000 km
