Brake pads Duralast or WILWOOD
I had the Duramax Ceramic front set installed in my car last week. little to no dust. performs pretty much just like stock, only differences i've noticed is that its less grabby initially, and braking has a more linear feel.
Yep! Had them on for some months now. Cheap and effective, dust problem gone, end of story.
I just installed them on Saturday and I'm really liking it so far. Very linear feeling as well, and similar to stock, but less grabby out of the gate. The one main thing I noticed today is that my wheels aren't caked with brake dust, as they usually are with just one day of driving in stop and go LA traffic!
X2 Decided to try a set I these after seeing your review. Identical stopping power to stock, and they are extremely low dust. No noise, they fit tight in the carrier.
I bought Duralast Gold pads which are ceramic brake pads and was surprised how well they preform. They have really good stopping power with no difference in feel between these and stock pads. But these Duralast pads have WAY less brake dust than oem. My wheels would get really bad brake dust within a day with the oem pads especially the front. But with the Duralast pads, I've gone weeks with very little brake dust at all..almost can't even notice the brake dust. I haven't tracked my car with these Duralast pads yet, but for the street...these have been preforming very well. I've had them for 5 months now and haven't noticed any noise or vibration and have worked very good in wet weather also...which we get a lot of here in Oregon. They are priced really good for how well they preform. I thought I'd put this out there since I read on another thread here about these pads being available and thought I'd try them out.
I use duralast on 3 of my cars without issue, I even use them on my vette around town. No issues whatsoever, and they're free replacement.
I put some on our family's extra car, they actually stop the car way better than I thought.
Ive put them on countless cars that just see road use(Rears on my Civic currently are Duralast). I like buying from autozone bc you can order from site to store and use retailmenot coupons to save a bunch of money.
the Wilwoods are quite light. they don't have much pad contact area though. the big advantage with the Stoptechs would be the cooling and contact area.
Wilwoods suck.
