Bendix Brake pads

I replaced REAR pads and rotors myself at the end of June of 2017 when I was at 54,000 miles. I used Bendix Ceramic Pads / D1348: https://www.carid.com/bendix/cq-ceramic-rear-disc-brake-pads-mpn-d1348.html These should fit your CC as well (they fit 2.0T and VR6 )They run very clean - like no dust, like the original factory pads did (maybe cleaner). I also opted for oem style rear rotors. Nothing fancy, no slots or drilled holes. The originals didn't have these features and I found them totally serviceable without them. If you buy aftermarket standard style rotors, just be sure that they match the specs of the original factory ones. For my car, the VR6 has rear vented rotors (the 2.0T has solid unvented). I confirmed the vane count and the rotor thickness matched the originals when they were new and then made a decision. I think the rotors I got online were duralast? I can't quite recall. Anyhow, I'm sure I'll be shamed for not going to the VW parts counter for VAG branded parts. But with that said, I have over 2500 miles on since then and the car stops beautifully with zero pedal pulsation. All-in, with a tube of compatible brake grease, I think I was at about $115 in parts and 2.5 hours of my labor.

Pros: run very clean, no dust, stops beautifully
Cons: rotor brand uncertain
Mileage: 54000 km
Part number: D1348

EBC Brake pads

Pad compound and lever setting make a big difference. Fully sintered pads were a complete night and day difference on both my bikes. Easily twice the bite over stock (brand new OEM pads) the rotors are still good to go after 6 months. You can't run a sintered rear without a sintered front but you can go the other way (ebc instructions). I would order up a set of sintered hh front pads and I bet it makes a huge difference. Stock pads are set up for a quiet, linear, long lasting and user friendly compound.

Pros: twice the bite, good stopping power
Cons: requires matching front and rear

EBC Brake pads

Just installed EBC yellow stuff pads, front only, for an upcoming track day and they are dead silent just like the stock pads were. Couldn't be happier with them-- so far....

Pros: dead silent

Last year I replaced my front pads with EBC greenstuff. The initial break in period performance was amazing. Now they're a little better than stock with added brake dust.

Pros: amazing initial break in
Cons: added brake dust

EBC Brake pads

I went EBC red stuff with slotted single piece rotors. They are okay, but not more than that. I pretty regularly drive them to fade on the street (I live in a very lightly populated rural area with lots of twisty roads).

Pros: Okay performance
Cons: Prone to fading

I've used them on my previous car and wasn't impressed, HP+ on the other hand was a much better choice for me (not to mention quite a bit cheaper)

Pros: HP+ better choice
Cons: wasn't impressed
