Brake pads EBC or OEM Mazda
I’ve been a big fan of every EBC pad I’ve used. I liked yellowstuff but not when it’s winter. When they are hot they are incomparable to anything else I’ve used (I have used very few different pads so this isn’t a real data point). I like greenstuff for anything but driving at 9/10ths or above. They tend to fade quickly. I’m running Redstuff pads now and they seem good but I haven’t pushed them. They have a little more overhead than greenstuff apparently. They work well at low temperatures.
on stock caliper, I recommend these
Girodisc Front rotors
OEM rear rotors
EBC Yellow pad front, rear
SRF Castrol DOT4 brake fluid.
I just recently did a EBS red stuff with EBC slotted rotors package deal and I've been super happy. Reduced dust, only a squeak or two when wet/super cold, and bite is much improved.
For added stop on high heat, I use EBC YELLOW STUFF pads.

I got ebc yellow stuff pads on my car and they work great. I paired them with vented Brembo discs I can say till now I don’t have regrets
I got Mazda 2 2013 and just had a replacement for both front brake pads and discs - $330 for the parts. $120 for labour.
I just picked up a set of Bluestuff NDX pads for my front. Haven't swapped yet but I'm sure they'll suffice since I'm not trying to win my class or set lap records
I just had the worst experience with EBC redstuff pads. brand new pads, and the first time i put pressure on them - they fail - badly! overheating within 5 minutes of spirited driving in the mountains.
I used EBC green pads back in the 80's. Never again. They caused vibrations and even with new rotors, they again vibrated a few months later.
