Brake pads EBC or OEM Subaru
Have found EBC Redstuff to work well on 3 vehicle makes thus far though only 1 car almost had a complete front and rear set. EBC front pads and rotors and EBC rear pads with aftermarket rotors. They have good initial bite and feedback with reduced stopping distance. Good wear with no noise except one set.
Ive really enjoyed EBC brake pads on my LR3
EBC Reds FTW...great performance and I can go a few weeks between wheel cleanings and even then its very light. The barrels are way easier to clean up
They're tried and tested by most of the community including me. They have great bite for street and spirited driving with virtually no brake dust and minimal noise.
EBC Extra Duty pads. Noticeably better then the Akebonos they replaced.
I went with Hella/Pagid stock rotors. EBC red stuff pads. All the difference. That's all it took. And there is noticeably less dust on the alloys.
I have Red Stuff pads and I feel that they have more initial bite than the stock pads, and once you're deeper in the pedal they feel pretty much the same as the stock pads. On the street I feel they are very comparable to stock and dust much less. More importantly, the dust is gray and doesn't turn rusty colored so it doesn't look as bad between washes. Red Stuff wouldn't handle track events like OEM though. Also no issues with brake noise.
around town is fine, I used them for an autox event and immediately wanted better brakes. I now have ebc yellowstuff and they bite a lot harder.
I had EBC green pads on my 21 CS-R, developed squeal and crazy dust.
The brake pads suck.
