Brake pads Ferodo or OEM BMW
From brakes have been solid
Ferrodo DS2500 is probably the best dual duty pad.
On a 428 both lower control forward arms including labor I believe $320 to $350
Brake pads brake, w e a r sensor and I believe both speed sensors under $400 no rotors were replaced.
Ferodo ds2500 pads which are a high performance street pad which is trackable. I took it to the track today and had zero fade or brake issues. Then, I let my crazy fast instructor drive and rip the shit out of the car for 20 min straight. By the end of the round, the brakes were smoking. But still, no fade, and those weren’t even track only pads.
Parts cost about 500$ for front and rear brakes if do yourself.
I've been using the DS1.11 this year, and they've been fantastic. I have about 12 or so track days on them and still have some life.
I like the DS3.12 on my GR86
The 3.12s have a LOT of bite and can make modulation tough on certain cars. On my E46 M3, I run DS UNO or DS1.11s. That's with the AP race kit front & rear. Didn't like the 3.12s for that application.
Ferodo DS2500 feel good but don't last as long as the CP's and have a bit more dust.
I hated Ferodo DS2500 on the street. Because they need to be warm to perform. And if I am driving on a highway for couple minutes or through a city, they loose the heat and perform badly for a bit.
