Brake pads OEM BMW or Tesla
And the throttle response is super smooth, and great brakes.
I have put 10k miles on it since then. The car has given me no issues whatsoever other than changing the brake pads and sensors.
Will not go back. Love to quick launch, quiet drive, no maintenance. Still on original disks and PADS at 180,000 km (120k miles)
Best things I did for my g80 was 1) Mishimoto skid plate to protect my oil cooler 2)Ceramic brake pads because the red dust that will engulf the lower half of your car after a 1/2 mile drive is insane.
I've been driving it with a Stage 2 tune for 4 years and put another 50,000km on it and I've had 0 repairs. Maintenance is more expensive of course, bigger tires, bigger brakes, more oil, it all adds up but the B58 is super reliable.
Oh, I did have rust pop on one of the original brake pads so I had to replace that this spring - very little pad wear though!
Just did brakes and rotors in my 2022 model 3 with 189,000 km\nFirst big bill $3000
The brakes are nb, I got my car custom ordered (0 miles) and needed to change my brakes @22k miles, my quote was 3k, ended up having my buddy for it for me with 3rd party for like 1.1k
E65 730D, squeaky brakes and suspension, engine mounts shot, interior semi clean apart from the ashtray
To be fair Tesla brakes are not great. Combined with regen? Sure it’s adequate, but drive a German vehicle and see what brakes are about.
