Brake pads POWER STOP or OEM Toyota
I put the Geomet coated Powerstop rotor and ceramic pad front and rear kits from RockAuto on my ‘14 XT. They work well and my speed demon wife liked them better than the originals.
I went with the powerstop z26, i think, carbon ceramic pads and drilled and slotted rotors all around for about 550 dollars from autozone. Fit and finish were perfect and did all four corners in my driveway in a couple of hours. The brake in procedure is very simple and they work very well. Zero brake vibrations and feels so much better.
I did the entire powerstop front and rear kit, has worked great, 0 issues in roughly 20k miles.
i have had powerstop on my car for the last year and a bit, no complaints, brakes are still good for dailying but with more bite when you jam down on the pedal
I use the HD Powerstop with vented rotors, front and rear. I tow a trailer. They exceed the life of OEM pads. And stop well.
Brake pads - $90 for parts
I took it out on a twisty road for about 40 miles, and did some hard stops. Seems to have resolved the issue. I read somewhere that these brakes need time for bed settling. I will say, they do stop impressively well. The factory stuff was underwhelming.
I did Power Stops because when I got them we're slightly cheaper with a rebate. Haven't had any problems with them.
'22 3.3t SP, with the brembos, bought the F&R Kit, been loving the brakes now. Definitely better than stock after the pads have warmed up.
Rear with power stop ceramic pads top rotors fine, bottom OEM pads rotors screwed and feedback being felt all rotors replaced 2nd time at 20,000km good will and now 37,000km fronts are same old backs are fine.
