Brake pads WAGNER or Hawk Performance
Hawk HPS Pads
Hawk HPS 5.0 Pads + Stoptech cryo-treated rotors - done as part of a total brake rebuild; slightly more bitey than stock, just how I like it.
At ~94k on ours now...we've replaced all brake pads (hawk 5.0)...
One of the best upgrades is knowing my brakes will stop when I need them to, the Brembos are overkill but I got them for a great price. The brake pads alone would've made a huge difference.
Hawk HPS 5.0 brake pads
I’ve honestly never had a problem with Wagner. Just installed QuickStops on my wife’s Altima. They are quiet, and they bite just as hard as OEMs.
Pedal feel, modulation, and stopping is much improved over stock and pads are quiet so far. Modulation is much more progressive with less "initial bite" as it should be.
Overall, the brakes feel pretty solid just from rolling it around in my driveway, but the car hasn't been on the road yet as it's not registered/inspected.
I have installed Porsche calipers 996.352.425/6 calipers on the front of my MK1 TT with stock sized 12.3" discs with Hawk HPS pads and SS lines.
The M240i needed new pads and rotors. I order HPS 5.0 + Zimmerman rotors from FCP's site which says they're compatible. I install them and the car sounds like a jalopy. Loud wub wub wub under braking and only braking, more pressure == more loud. It sounds like it's coming from both fronts.
