Brake pads Zimmermann or Mintex
I replaced the Brembo with the Zimmermann myself, so far so good, the original Brembo brakes warped after less than 15.000 km, I have now another 15.000 km driven with the Zimmermann and they are as good as new.
I'm a Mintex Red Box fan, I also upgrade to AutoTech drilled/vented rotors since I drive like I stole it. 2009 Jetta driver.
I just installed front and rear brakes @90k on my MK7.5 GTI w/PP brakes with a kit from FCP Euro Zimmerman cross drilled font and rear with EBC Red Stuff pads. The price has gone up a good bit since then but its a good upgrade from stock imo.
I remember somebody talking about swapping out the Brembo for Zimmermann brakes and he was much happier with those.
I've been running the stock brakes with aftermarket pads for a few years and it's worked well for me. Mintex 1144, Ferodo DS2500 and Roddisons pads have all been great.
I replaced both my front brake discs and pads a month ago and have driven about 1075 miles. On the passenger side, one of the grooves has gone but the other remains and I feel like its getting worse although not 100% sure.
Vanno verificate le pinze, c'\u00e8 sicuramente un problema di scorrimento.
I switched to the supposedly equivalent Zimmerman blanks and textar pads and I didn’t like the performance so I switched back to the stock brakes.
I purchased Zimmerman pads and rotors from FCP. FCP is fine but the Zimmerman brakes squeal like a bitch.
I didn't like the Mintex Redbox pads on my Passat. They overheated too quickly and felt spongy.
