Engine oil AMSOIL or Total
As an avid amsoil user I am bought into the brand. Every product I have has made my equipment run better. I run a small farm and have amsoil in every fluid in all of my vehicles. If you are in the preferred deal it really isn't that much more expensive than regular oil.
My L5P doesn't tick with amsoil. My 5.3 you can't hear the lifters with amsoil. I have a 5.3 that has 300k on it and never had a motor problem with it and it has been pure amsoil since 35k miles.
I have a 2017 1500 5.7 that’s had nothing but Amsoil SS 0W-20. Purrs like a kitten. I have done multiple used oil analysis on all my family’s vehicles. They all use SS OW-20 and the analysis come back with very positive results. I will never use anything other than Amsoil.
At 156k after cam/lifter replaced I started doing DIY Amsoil changes. At 255k I put in a crate engine. If Amsoil made a difference it got the bottom half of the engine to 250k miles from 156k so about 13? oil changes. I think the cost difference is minimal so yes, I think it was worth it. Delaying $10k for new engine is the goal.
Mopar oil filter, amsoil 0w20, don’t over torque filter housing.
Was using motorcraft, switched over to Amsoil. Cost is the same maybe a couple dollars more.
I personally run Amsoil and always have. I think they make a great product and their customer service is solid.
AMSoil signature series. Best stuff you can get!
I've used Mobil 1 in all my vehicles before this car. I have chosen Amsoil Signature Series for the WRX.
Amsoil also makes a oil specially formulated for hybrid vehicles since your engine turns on and off more frequently than an average car. Amsoil has a higher Flashpoint than most conventional oils which reduces the amount of oil your car burns.
The best oil you can get for that car is the amsoil signature series. 0w30 or 5W30 in warm climate.
