Engine oil Mobil or OEM Mazda
I use Mobil 1 ESP X2.
Available at Walmart.
It is approved by Mercedes and VW, it also meets the BMW requirement but is not approved by them.
I just go to Walmart and buy the big jug of mobile 1 high mileage engine oil and the most expensive oil filter I can find and just do the oil change in my driveway.
I use the Mobil 1 just like the sticker Porsche put on your car…
I've tried various combinations that include the mix of m1 5-40 with 5-50 but have now for many years kept it simpler w/ Mobil 1 5-50 every five thousand miles. It purrs as one would expect from a 195,000 mile 996 Turbo.
My Saab (2003 9-5 Arc Wagon 3.0 turbo) has a sticker that says Mobil 1
To be honest, the mobil 1 ESP 0w-20 is a fantastic oil and meets those specs and is at walmart for $8/qt
My oil report on 0w30 mobil1 esp looked good. I'll keep using it. Mix of track and daily duty.
Seeing good results, lower heating, smoother functioning with Mobil Super Moto 15W-50 Synthetic Technology Engine Oil.
I was riding in the Himalayas where low-gear, high-acceleration could not be avoided and decided to try this. Noticed better performance, lower heating and decisively moved away from RE's semi-synthetic.
I've been running Mobil ESP 0w20 (VW508) since my 1st oil change at 3k miles (5 months into ownership), then another oil change at 7600 miles 10 months later. I've ran a few Auto-X events, a light educational track day (not pushing the car too much), and certainly am otherwise not shy with the throttle at all. I have also had 1k miles on my stage 1 tune since July.
You should stop using Mobil 1 oil period. Their oil is dog shit when it comes to wear protection, cold flow, burn point, and more.
