Engine oil PENNZOIL or Mannol
I drive a 2021 RAM 1500 Classic and use only Pennzoil Ultra Platinum with the extended guard filter cartridges. I change my filter cartridge at 5,000 miles and reset my light then at around 10,000 miles, I change the oil and cartridge. There was one time I forgot to change my oil before winter and didn't feel like doing it in the cold so I ended up around 15,000 miles before changing it. The oil was still fairly clean.
I've never had any issue with standard Mannol - my cars have always had it every 5k and I'm pleased with the results.
Synthetic oil change is now $125 at the stealership so Ibu my own 0/50 Penzoil and a high quality filter every year, and vacuum out the Hybrid Traction battery filter myself
My Skoda gets fresh mannol every 12 months. No problems so far. It meets the VAG spec so all fine in my opinion.
0-20 pennsoil synthetic with a wix or napa filter
Unless you are tracking the car you aren\u2019t going to see a difference. I use Pennzoil ultra platinum and a wix filter on my daily\u2019s.
Pennzoil Ultra Platinum, better than mobil 1, but also I am pretty sure all oil is within a few percentage points of performance anymore anyways, and it really doesn't matter as long as you change it when you should.
VW recommends 505.01 for fixed service at 15k Km or 507.00 for flexible service at 30k Km. Since our driving condition is harsh, I usually cut those Km in half. Since you were pushing 505.01 at 12k I would recommend you use 507.00 5W30 LongLife for 15k to 18k to be on the safe zone especially if your runs are on highways. I’d highly recommend you check oil from Mannol 507.00, I’ve been using them and they are solid choice. It costs under 3.5k for 5L. You can fill 4.4L at change of oil and top up 200ml at 4,8 and 12k interval
Using Mannol for my diesel.
Pouring it in it seemed thinner than the rating would suggest. When I turned on my engine (NC MX-5) I noticed a new ticking noise that doesn't go away.
Turns out it's the hydraulic lifters.
