Engine oil PENNZOIL or RAVENOL
Pennsoil Platinum High Mileage 0W20. It seems to run best on it, at least among the wal mart oils.
I’ve used pennzoil platinum or ultra platinum on my 8th and 9th gen si. Never burns a drop in the 3.5k mile interval changes and I beat the thing like I stole it most days.
I use full synthetic all the time, either Pennzoil Platinum or Mobil 1.
I ran Pennzoil XLF in all my two strokes for years with no probs. Good price and readily available at Wal-Mart, Amazon, etc. Quality oil and lower smoke than many.
I use Pennzoil ultra platinum and my car runs great I change it every 5K. I use mazda oem oil filters since they don’t have the anti drain back valve.
Pennzoil high mileage synthetic. I've burnt/leaked far less fuel since I started using it.
I use Pennzoil Platinum after FordBossMe turned me onto it and did some (quite detailed) review videos covering it versus the other ones such as Mobil1 and Valvoline
Pretty much as soon as I switched to Pennzoil Platinum (the one made from natural gas) my engine ***suddenly*** got noticeably quieter. Previously with the Mobil1 it was making faint clicking/lifter noise during the first few minutes of driving
Starts are quieter too, with the Mobil1 it made some light clatter/metallic-y noises on those very first 1-3 seconds of startup, but now with the Pennzoil Platinum it purrs up smoothly from the moment I turn the key
I use Pennzoil Platinum Full Synthetic in my 21 Forester. $23 for 5qt from Walmart and $12 oil filter from dealership.
Even Ravenol, which is pretty expensive since it is made in Germany from Group V base stock. Great stuff.
Project farm did a bunch of tests on all popular oil brands and amsoil won followed closely by pennzoil ultra platinum. The pennzoil is easier to get so that’s what I use on all my cars.
