Engine oil Shell or PENNZOIL
I use PENNZOIL PLATINUM but brand is up to you !
Pennzoil ultra premium is the best overall considering price, pennzoil euro is even better if they make it in your w-viscosity rating.
amsoil is the best period but is also expensive. recommended for commercial driving where you run your car to the limit racking up hundreds of miles per drive.
A lot of old guys recommend mobil 1. Mobil 1 loses to even walmart supertech, amazon basics oil, valvoline, etc. in the wear metal tests so that's my reason for avoiding that one
I’m running Penzoil ultra platinum 5W-30. The instructor I drove with said he runs 5W-30 in his gen 1 BRZ track rentals.
I just hit 19k miles on my 2017 390. I ride it like someone stole it. Also thousands of high revving miles on the highway.
I use nothing but Rotella T6 15w-40. It is really good oil and it is cheaper than almost anything else you can use.
Shell Advance Ultra - yung full synthetic. Mahal pero worth it. I change oil every 2.5k - 3k max.
Have an 07 Silverado bought new first oil change switched over to Mobil one used that until one of the hurricanes hit Louisiana and started having a problem getting it so switched over to Pennzoil full synthetic. Truck has 368000 on it and seems to be still going strong so I’d say it’s your choice.
I use Pennzoil Platinum. Is it the best? Who knows, but I’ve been using it for years on several vehicles and never had an issue.
I’m using Pennzoil Ultra Platinum, really helped how effortless my acceleration is and gas mileage.
I have been using Shell Rotella T5 for decades in big v twins. Currently 1900cc Statoliner.
Im with all these 5w40 rotella guys, just started running it in my 91 1500 with 145k miles with the 4.3tbi and she loves it, I notice a slight bump in oil pressure for sure.
