Reportedly the aftermarket ones don't last too long. That's why I had ultimately decided to keep the OE 14 y/o pump in the van
Pros: long lasting
Vehicle:
Volkswagen
Since the original pump was strong and quiet I decided to reuse it as well and keep the new pump as a spare. I decided to let the perfectly working OE pump run its course.
Pros: strong and quiet, perfectly working
Vehicle:
Volkswagen
Wonder if it's fuel related, that happened to my CC turned out to be a Fuel Pump Issues in the gas tank.

my car had a similar problem, mk2, but still a vw. turns out the relay works killer, my problem was a combination of the main pump going bad and some very very bad corosion in the fuse box.
Pros: relay works killer
Cons: main pump going bad
