Rating 5.0

My dad has had the OE European (glass) headlights on his Mk4 Golf since 2002. They still look great all these years later, despite 300,000+ miles on them. The European beam pattern is so much better than the U.S. one, too.

Pros: look great, better beam
Mileage: 482803 km

In my case, about 1/2 to 3/4 CCW turn with philips screwdriver did the trick - now headlights aim just a little higher on each side… Importantly, I am not getting flashed by oncoming drivers while using the low-beam headlights.

Pros: headlights aim higher
Cons: initially aimed low

I ended up adjusting mine by 0.5 turns and they're great now. I guess yours could be even worse from the factory than mine were.

Pros: great improvement
Cons: massive disappointment initially
Vehicle: Volkswagen

OEM Audi Headlights

I bought expensive Audi headlights on AliExpress. However when parcel arrived UK I had to pay additional £107 for import duty - so looks like seller Dint lower item price down. Second issue is I took car to the garage in order to replace headlights. Garage replaced them, but issued me the report. That headlights is bringing two errors to the dash board: Right hand side day time running light and left hand side day time running light. Plus second report that light pattern is for left hand drive and it's a critical issue and MOT failure. So seems to me that seller send me the wrong lights.

Pros: expensive headlights
Cons: wrong lights, errors on dashboard
Vehicle: Audi

VW OEM parts are expensive as fuck, VW Dealers wont give you the part number so you can source it cheaper either, they're called stealerships for a reason, partners VW Beetle was $1500 for 1 headlight.

Cons: expensive headlight
Vehicle: Volkswagen Beetle
