Agree about the WIX filter, has better end caps on the filter vs the oem filter that you just press the oil line tube ends into it, not a great design imo.
Penzoil Ultra Platinum w/ Wix filter
That OEM filter is probably made at the same factory as an off the shelf filter from pretty much any automotive parts store. Hell, I'm doing an oil change tomorrow and I'm going to get a Wix 57002 and some Pennzoil.
Have always used WIX since new for both oil and fuel. No issues in my 2016.

In my Hybrid, I use the OLM for recommended changes, except for the initial break-in oil/filter change. I did that one at 4k, which was about 2k of gasoline engine miles. OEM filter was tiny and I wanted to get it replaced.
I always use a Wix from O’Reillys and have never had an issue.
I like using the Wix longbois on my Camry feels like you’re getting more filter
