Shock absorbers Bilstein or Sachs
I just put a set of Bilsteins on my 2016 GMC Acadia, and oh man, what a difference!
I think the billstein 5100 and 5150 are great. After the first set I bought, I've run nothing else.
Bilstein 4600 for a stock road Jeep. Not quite as squishy as a nitro shock like OME, but a significant upgrade over stock in both comfort and control.
Bilsteins have always been my go to. Nice and Sturdy at high speeds. Worst shocks I’ve had on my jeep were rough country
My local BMW shop suggested the OEM replacement Sachs and I agreed. Im very happy with them. Made the bumps much more manageable while still retaining that BMW stiffness we love about these cars.
I went with Sachs dampers which are OEM but sportier than my stock zhp dampers. I don’t regret it one bit
i have the bilstein b8 on my other car which is lowered sport dampers they are super comfortable and sporty
Just put in some new Bilsteins last week.
I currently run Bilsteins, but looking to change to BC Racing ones. Only cos the rear on the Bilsteins don't go low enough (3 finger gap at the lowest rear setting).
I can relate. My B16's made strange noises from day 1. Then after a few months one of the rears collapsed. I gave up and just put the original stock shocks/springs back on.
