Shock absorbers Rancho or OEM Toyota
2008 LC Prado - 185k mileage. Regular PMS only. front lower arms, and tire rods were change for the first time last year since it was new, rides like brand new again. Shocks were already replaced with OME.
As I do some offroading or mostly off pavement vs wheeling I’ve also liked my Rancho 5000s.
Had a ‘86 Blazer with snowplow and heavy duty suspension came with twin shocks up front when I replaced them I went with Rancho RS 5000 ?
I put those same Ranchos in my 2002 a couple of years ago. Night and day difference. I don't think my old shocks were doing anything at all.
I just back from mechanic shop with another set of stock absorber (facelift gt86) and ride is really night and day!! Firm but not harsh, can feel the road but not as uncomfortable as before.
Any regular shocks should be fine, when I deleted autoride on my suburban I used rancho shocks from rock auto.
Anyway para sakin for comfort ride montero or terra. Matigas kasi stock shocks ng fortuner.
I have the 22 at4 with the stock rancho on there. Got the truck in march of last year and already had one of the rear shocks go out.
They’ll leak within 30k and give a ride like you’re a settler on the Oregon trail, rancho sucks.
And the adjustable 9000 series are so stiff even on the softest settings. Had them for a while on my E-350 shuttle bus which weighs in just under 10k lbs.
