Shock absorbers Rough Country or Sachs
Just changed my rear ones with the Sachs M-Sport. I love the right height and any lower is a problem where I live.
For me Sachs is the way to go for original quality and driving dynamics. I have Sachs on all 4 corners on both my W124s and they are great.
BUT op if I were you, I'd replace just the shocks (keep the Sachs springs) and replace with OE Sachs shocks (struts) Bilstien also makes yellows with OE ride height i believe, that would be the best street ride quality.
I just installed Sachs shocks, and I love the ride
I’ve had both for a rwd N52, currently on Sachs. But the Sachs are still really good and worth it for the savings over the B4.
I'm not going to lie. Going from Monroe/stock height to a 3in lift with rough country shocks rides great on the street.
I did a rough country lift on my Silverado. The shocks aren’t bad but they definitely aren’t great. It handles bumps better than it did when it was stock but I’ll definitely be upgrading to bilsteins when these shocks go bad.
I recently replaced them with the Sachs oe equivalent to save money. They’re a softer ride than the B4 and in hindsight, while not a bad purchase, I would have preferred the B4.
Have installed a bunch of their lifts and shocks. Decent lifts for the price. Shocks I'm not that impressed with.
They put on new oem Sachs shocks, which are too soft.
