Spark plug Autolite or OEM Honda
Ran Autolite Iridum XP XP3922 plugs in it and had zero issues at about half the price of the NGK plugs, and I had a mild tune.
These are good plugs Autolite my mechanic recommended them to me good spark and seems like my truck is running smoothly and there a good price.
I am running platinum Autolite plugs in my 2.3 rwd and don't regret it
In my 206 classes we run this autolite sparkplug because it’s required.
My understanding is that we switched because people were buying plugs in bulk and looking for ones with the lowest internal resistance believing it would effectively advance the engines timing. Supposedly these autolite plugs are much more consistent.
I replaced the spark plug with an Auto Lite spark plug. Engine light went away but still runs rough and misfire on acceleration.
That auto lite is no goood
Make sure if you purchase spark plugs that it is not Auto Light. They tend to mess your vehicle up more and not work well with Toyotas.
Don't use AutoLite plugs in this car, they are known to have issues.
Also, Autolite is extra terrible. I would have done anything else.
Local mechanic used an Autolite plug, not Honda-recommended NGK. Misfires stopped for a month, then happened twice more. I have since discovered this brand does not run well in a Honda engine.
