Spark plug Bosch or BERU
My car has Bosch Double Iridium spark plugs. Over 120K miles now still go strong.
I just got Bosch ones for my 2gr in the Lexus. Worked well, no complaints. And they weren’t badly priced
I believe BOSCH were the OEM for the spark plugs on these. I went with Copper/Nickel plugs the the originals were Platinum, again I believe, I'm not 100 percent on that. I'm using a shortened maintenance schedule because I use the car for Auto and Rallycross so I'm ok with changing the plugs a bit more often.
I’m working on my 08 GTI FSI and man she loves my paycheck like no tomorrow! But she is the greatest car I’ve ever owned. Congrats you’re going to both hate and love it!!! Check the coil packs! Mine use to misfire all the time. Brought it to three shops before I personally replaced all four and bought nothing but NGK or Bosch plugs.
Ive ran Beru ultra copper core for a couple months now and they are one step colder. I honestly dont even check gap on them and my shit runs smooth.
The car works almost fine with the new bosch , i have a little vibration on idling .
I learned this after installing Bosch plugs in a Honda many moons ago. Japanese cars like Japanese-designed plugs.
BOSCH stopped German manufacture of spark plugs long ago, they suck now.
Mann fuel and air filter, Bosch distributor cap and rotor, NGK spark plugs and NGK wires. I had Bosch spark plugs W6DPO, the car runs exactly the same.
I tried Bosch plugs on a 1995 NG900. Problem as described. When they state compatible, that might only address mechanical fit. Stick with the original plugs
