Spark plug NGK or OEM Subaru
Factory plugs were causing the auto transmision to take longer to shift and jerk more suprisingly. I assume because the engine was acting differently than the transmission expected.
Make sure you get NGKs: FA/FB/EJ/Etc. love those the most.
Also you might have bad type of plugs - NGK PFR6T-10G is correct one.

The CX5 should not be a problem. All the posts telling horror stories aren’t answering the question. You don’t need to be ripped-off by a dealer for this task. You must have a Friend or neighbor to help! It’s a 30 min job at the most. Be sure to get the right plugs, NGK is a great brand.
I’d personally run NGK, they have always performed better than Bosch in these generation engines. Iridium if possible and just whatever my reputable local parts supplier would get me.
I'll just start with my bias of never using Denso for anything anymore but for plugs I only use NGK laser iridium and always get at least 80k out of them.
Should have used NGK Laser Iridium plugs and Hitachi coils.
i got a cheap 80cc kit a while ago and it ran awesome for about 3 months, then i let it sit for almost a year in a garage. Now rusted in some places, but still spins freely, and piston is intact. I just installed a centrifugal clutch and a pull starter, along with a new cdi and new coil, but it just wont start no matter what. I keep pulling and pulling and nothing. I even got a lower temp spark plug for it (NGK B7HS). Fuel is going in, carb seems to be working, i believe im using good enough fuel, tried many different fuel/air mixes... but nothing. Can anyone here please help me figure out what could be wrong? If you need any additional info please ask.
EDIT: after some back and forth with the comments, i decided ill try and disassemble/clean the carburetor, and maybe some other things suggested.
I also realize my formatting isnt the best, but this was one of the first few times i posted in reddit, ever...
And to address me just chucking in new parts suddenly? yeah, not the best move, i realize, but ill try and make it work, and a lesson learned.

UPDATE: Today i tried most of what you all suggested and unfortunately, still nothing. I opened the carburetor, as clean as could be.
At this point, my only two suspecrs left is the crankshaft magnet getting misaligned, or im just not getting enough rpm with the pull starter, which is already kind of bogus because it produced a decent spark even when not pulling too fast
It has 90k miles and we've been having issues with spark plugs. 3 months ago we replaced them after a cylinder 2 misfire. About a month ago same thing. Both times they looked terrible. Diode was all corroded and the threads had oil on them. Last night on my way to work cylinder 2 misfire came back. Anyway, I always use iridium ngk plugs as thats what's recommended but they are getting expensive having to buy them every month or 2.
There is 0 performance or ignition upgrade to the ruthenium compared to motorcraft OEM ones. I tested the 2 back and forth for several weeks and saw no noticeable improvement in either. The car ran the exact same. Rutheniums run like $50 ish a set, motorcraft I can find for around $25 a set, no brainer, motorcraft. I am also stock. Don’t buy into the hype like I did.
