Starter motor Denso or OEM FORD
Thank you all for the tips and advice. I've ordered a Denso (OEM) starter. I'm relived we ruled out the flywheel.
I ignored this warning on my ranger. 30 yr old car and a now 5 year old starter and I've had no issues
I agree with the other fellow, your OEM starter is goin to be much more robust than what you buy.
If it's OE it is Denso and worth keeping compared to the parts stores garbage.
My experience with a failing starter on a 2nd gen was slow cranking. I initially thought battery, even had the parts store test and tell me the battery was bad (they were wrong). After battery replacement the symptoms remained. Got a reman Denso starter, that fixed it.
Our 2018 just caught the whir of death tonight. 60k on the clock. Any suggestions on what brand to replace it with. Bosch and Denso both have options for the car.
Every single ford focus ive replaced transmissions on, that stud breaks. Every. Single. Time.
Brittle starters
these were inexpensive starters
The plastic on those is more brittle than paper thin ice.
