Strut assembly Monroe or GABRIEL
Gabriel are quality parts, I put their struts on my LS400. It isn't going to make your ride worse, it'll make your ride more controlled, with less roll, squat or dive, as it isn't worn out.
I have the gabriel struts from auto zone and they're a bit stuff at first but I'm a year in and they've worn in great.
Mind you this is with new Suplex BBWW front springs and Monroe struts.
I ordered the cheapest complete kit (their request) I could find off of ebay. The struts were actually Gabriel struts and 3 years later it's still going without issue.
I just got them for my Buick. I would say that they function just as well as stock and the car rides great. They are a TAD rougher than OE, if I turn the radio off they make a bit of strut noise over bumps.
Autozone for example will sell you Gabriel brand quick struts which are easy to install - but they are not exact replacements, usually they are too floaty.
I have bought Monroe struts for a toyota from rockauto, and swapped out the strut bearing and coil (With a spring-compressor) for the front. Everything was peachy until it got cold outside (40s) and the front right started clicking (not clunking!).
Monroe is crap quality.
I've had so many monroes and gabriels shit the bed i cant recommend them to anyone anymore.
I put the Monro-matics on my 99 es300 a few years ago, one winter later I was back to replacing them. Monroe is generally my go to brand, but I will no longer buy their economy line.
