Sachs Strut assembly

The Sachs come with the performance package. Totally worth every penny if you like to mod, track, and auto cross. The Sachs struts have different valving but much better performance than base suspension setup. They also work great with aftermarket performance springs (RCE Yellows work perfectly with the Sachs). I have a 2018 BRZ with the Performance Package with Brembo brakes and love it.

Pros: worth every penny, better performance, works with springs
Vehicle: Subaru BRZ

Sachs Strut assembly

Sachs was the OEM for the struts on my old e39 bmw 528i w/ sports package. I had gotten 60k miles after replacing them before trading the car in.

If they are good enough to be original equipment on a BMW they’re probably pretty good.

Pros: OEM quality, good durability
Vehicle: BMW
Mileage: 60000 km

Monroe Strut assembly

I just got them for my Buick. I would say that they function just as well as stock and the car rides great. They are a TAD rougher than OE, if I turn the radio off they make a bit of strut noise over bumps.

Pros: function just as well
Cons: strut noise over bumps

Monroe Strut assembly

I settled for Monroe Quick-Struts which come assemble as front struts. And also bought the Monroe Shocks. At first they felt nice with very nice handling. But I got sick of them being too bouncy. It's as if riding a boat breaking small waves.

Pros: nice handling at first
Cons: too bouncy, like a boat
Vehicle: Chevrolet Colorado

Monroe Strut assembly

Monroe struts tend to be of mediocre quality. For standard driving they're ok, but they don't really tolerate lowering springs well.

Pros: ok for standard driving
Cons: mediocre quality, don't tolerate lowering springs
