Tires BFGoodrich or GT Radial
I like BF Goodrich T/A KSI they are less expensive than Michelin XIce. They have good performance and seem fairly durable
I’ve got a plug in the same spot on some BFGs and it’s held fine.
I replaced the BF Goodyears on my '68 convertible last year. They were 36 years old. They had about 5k miles on them. They looked brand new inside and out. They have been inside for 99.9% of their life. The same tires are on my '70 Mach 1, at 32 years. Are the new BFGs I put on going to last 36 years, or is the quality not the same?
Been on 285/75/16 ko2s for 4 years. I also have a four wheel camper I use in summer, I tow my seadoo too. Separately most of the time but sometimes both. No regear. I run sport 4 with ect on. I can run 70-75, you gotta work her on the passes though. But my trucks been great.
I've been happy with the bfg ko3 tires. Noise wise they're similar to the scorpions, but switching from the old scorpions to the new ko3s was like night and day. I've only got about 7k on then but they haven't become any louder yet
Had an 04' wrx with BF Goodridge tires. Rotated them every 10k miles and they lasted almost 75k.
GT Radial is okay naman.
Definitely a bit less grip in the dry than the 215 PS4s, but they're actually usable in the cold, solid in the wet, and at least passable in the snow. I'm not sure how much of the change in handling is down to the taller sidewall and narrower tire, and how much is the tire compound itself.
every truck i have been in with ko2s have been noisy
Can confirm that KO2 are horrible on ice and snow.
