Tires BFGoodrich or OEM Volkswagen
BF Goodrich is Michelin’s “consumer” brand; I’ve had those exact tires on my Mazda3 and liked them a lot.
I switched from BFG KO2s to these and I'll never go back. Very quiet at highway speeds, smooth, and great in the snow. 85k KMs on them and still like new
BF Goodrich, Michelin tires three years after and at third of the price.
BFGoodrich MT KM3
I run BFG 265R18 Trail Terrains which I’ve put on multiple vehicles. They’re not as noisy as KO2s and are snow rated.
had so much fun today! no videos unfortunately but first in class and almost upset an STH guy, lol the car did great on the 240tw, 41psi. sport mode with esc fully off. lots of grip even though i was overdriving a bit.
I've always ran BF Goodrich advantage controls, Michelin CrossClimates, Goodyear Eagle RS-A, or Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 for summers only.
Given I get a pretty big discount since I work for a tire shop, it's the experience I've had that makes my opinion. Haven't let me down unless I've done some stupid shit, like burnouts or drifts, and even then I only do when I've got the next set lined up.
At the moment we have K02's on our van year round and G015's as winter tires for the Touareg. Both do their job in snow and the occasional mud at the trail head. At the time I got the K02's because they look more bad ass. They are overkill for me and are loud and getting louder as they wear.
Overpriced, overweight. I try to get the lightest weight tire in a given size that still looks decent. Hard to beat KO2s
Tires don't do that crap BF Goodrich. The car rides great, if it has quality tires.
