Tires BRIDGESTONE or Cooper
But if you can afford them, real winter tires like Bridgestone Blizzaks are a huge upgrade. Not just in snow, but on dry cold days where even good All Seasons are losing a lot of traction.
My one experience with Bridgestone was excellent on a Ford Expedition. Got 65k out of them an excellent traction.
I have Bridgestone Potenza RE71R's on my Z and the grip is phenominal. Its a summer tire though and they can be slippery in low temps so take that into consideration
Go with the 215 and save some money. You’ll have plenty of grip and be fine. I ran that size Blizzaks on my past WRXs.
When it comes to brands, best ones are Bridgestone, but remain the costliest along with Michelin. MRF, CEAT and Apollo offer similar cost and have average lifecycle and performance.
My AWD Sienna hybrid is great in the Chicago snow on the stock Bridgestone tires. I love it.
I got some cheaper wheels from tire rack that are “winter rated” 18x8.5 +35 squared setup and Blizzaks. It will be worth the investment.
I've got Bridgestone Turanza T005s and I like driving with them, they grip well, but I lost two tires in a year. One was during normal driving on a mountain road, maybe I hit the curb, I don't know what's the point if you can't offroad an SUV, and the second was when I was offroading. The sidewalls on these tires are super thin.
Potenza s001 is garbage
‘24 Altima VC-Turbo overpriced factory Bridgestone Turanza LS100’s tread is low already
