Tires BRIDGESTONE or Kumho
I have had mixed experience with Kumho. Had a set of Ecsta PA51 that were great. No issues and lasted a long time.
My Blizzaks on my STi today were awesome. I love these driving days to put them to good use!
I have Kumho Roadventure tires on my Tacoma, I like them.
Tried xice and blizzak ws90 both brand new. I preferred blizzak it made me more confident to drive in snow than xice my car is fwd.
Wife had a set of Continentals on her GLE 350 and two rears had belt issue so had to replace and the same Conti’s were not available. We went with two Kumho Ecsta and they are solid.
I put a set on my 2006 Ram. LT, and I think the total was about $450. No problems, better ride than what I had.
I was considering the blizzak6 which are available in my size for both front and rear but might be overkill for most of the rest of the winter and likely counterproductive, so figured all seasons might be for the best. Choice of all season tyres is very limited, especially for the rear size, pretty much down to All season contact 2s but there’s a lot of feedback online about how they don’t feel particularly responsive on the front when steering which has me a bit concerned, so was thinking maybe of going cross climate 3 sports on the front and all season contact 2 at the back.
I have Turanza AS6 for two years and ~24k km. I quite like them. Maybe the winter performance is not extraordinary, but good enough. Wear is surprisingly low so far. Comfort is average.
Those tires are mediocre to begin with, Toyota owners have complained about those bridgestones for over a decade now. The 2015+ Camry had those equipped, many reported shitty wear. It's a basic tire that's made for a smoother ride but definitely not made for longevity.
Those tires wear out fast. I lost 2mm of tread on all tires in 3800km. Window sticker says they only last 20000miles.
