Tires Continental or Cooper
I'm at 4 sets of XL rated Conti DWS06+ now between 2 sets on my former '13 Golf R & the sets currently on my '20 S3 & '17 Alltrack & I've loved them for year round true all season use. Never used them on a 2WD vehicle but absolutely zero complaints on my Haldex equipped rides I've had them on in dry/wet/snow/ice/slush, hot/temperate/cold.
I run the Continental DWS06+ on my Mustang and have been very happy with them. They're not quite as sharp as the Michelin Pilot AS3 that they replaced, but that's ok for my daily driver. Adding 2 psi over the factory recommended pressures helped firm up the steering response and ride enough to keep me happy.
Continental DSW Extreme Contact is the best all season tire I have out on any of my cars. Dry/wet/snow…just all around an impressive tire.
I just changed to gp5k 30mm with tubiltos
Noticeably faster. Also went from 65 psi with 32 mm to 80 on the new 30s. And the tires let u know when the road surface is poor.
Just put these Conti Crosscontact LX25 on my Hyundai Sante Fe. So much better than the Kumho Crugen previously on that wore out very quickly (got 25,000 rotated every 7500 miles) and not quiet on the road. Yes the $110 rebate did help with the decision. Put on around 800 miles and pretty happy with them. Like other Conti, quiet on the road. There's less road feeling but for a family car, fine for my wife.
I bought 4 new Cooper tires and 1 of them developed a defect 6 months and 2/32 of use. Cooper tire stood behind their tire and gave me a free replacement and reimbursed me for mounting and balancing. I've purchased Cooper tires in the past and will continue to do so. They're a great AMERICAN manufacturer.
I went with Continental PureContact LS. All of my looking and reading and personal experience and prices... this is what seemed best to me.
I have 15k miles on mine and love them so far. They have a 65k mile warranty
I found a wood screw neatly inserted into the sidewall so it couldn't be patched. $400 for a new Continental.
just FYI I tried the Conti DWS on my 2009 335i and couldn't keep them on the car. every time I hit a pothole the sidewall would crack and the worst part was despite the fact that I knew how it happened every time each road hazard claim was denied due to "improper installation".
