Tires Continental or Giti
I run the Contis ECS and love them.
I had Continental Extreme Contact Sports on my STI, they were great.
I just got the new Continental Extremecontact Sport 02 in September. I’m super happy with them, on par with PS4s in my opinion (and a bit cheaper)
I had one. No problems, dry or wet, and it lasted for 3000 miles, pretty much exactly, without a single cut in it, which is very impressive for city riding. It died of being worn down to the threads in one patch. I would thoroughly recommend these tyres.
Durability is outstanding - over 2000 miles on my current pair with no punctures. Relatively light considering the strength and rolls well - but definitely not the fastest tire. It does ride firm but you can’t have everything. Haven’t had any issues in the rain but I always take it easy when it’s wet.
I have them on my beater/commuter/errand bike
No qualms and they do the job they are supposed to do. I wouldn’t put them on any of my fun bikes, but they are perfect on a bike that I just “set and forget.”
I run them on several bikes. Not completely puncture proof, but I have only had one or two punctures in the five years of running them. I like them for daily commuting and are my go to.
Used them for many years commuting in London. Normally loads of rubbish/glass/oil on the road etc and were fine.
Long-time fan of Conti 4000's. Discovered the Conti 5000's were too tight to fit my previous wheelset, Mavic Ksyrium Elite UST.
Currently, pairing Pirelli PZero Velo 4S tubeless with HED Belgium Plus wheels. The Conti 5000's do fit and run well with the HED wheels.
This happened to my 2021 Arteon (pointed out by others when I got a car wash) a few days ago. It was the front passenger side of the tire. Mileage on the car was about 9000 miles.
