Tires Cooper or Shinko
I replaced them with cooper road and trail AT tires. They are amazing in all conditions and whisper quiet.
I've had great experience in the snow so far with the Road & Trail and wondering if the Stronghold does similarly for LT sizes
I got 4 cooper endeavor tires for my Subaru Crosstrek for $660 installed with alignment a couple weeks ago. They’re all seasons and my friends who know what they’re talking about all said they are excellent.
My '02 Outback also rarely put wear on its tires. I drove that one much more offroad too and it had Cooper Discoverers that held up extremely well in all weather - snow, rock roads, summer asphalt, muddy parking lots.
My wife’s L322 on the coopers is stone cold boring in snow here in Colorado. She’s from the south so she’s always a bit nervous in the snow but she just commented to me yesterday that she feels so confident in that thing with those tires (I had made a comment that I thought the Coopers had worn in to be quite loud an she rebutted saying she doesn’t notice nor care due to how they perform.
i recently switched from bfg ko2 to cooper discoverer at3 and love them. only issue is they pickup alot of rocks. and i live on a dirt road so constantly picking them out. but they ride great great traction in the wet. do ok in mud snow etc. ive had on 3 vehicles one was a honda element. rode like it was on rails. my excursion same and when does slide very predictable even with lsd locking poweslides.
I’m also really enjoying the Cooper AT3s I just put on and I’m getting slightly better mpgs
I put Cooper AT3 265/75-16 (Pro-4x size) on, which I like pretty well. I've had ok luck with it driving through Illinois fields when hunting.
Do not purchase the Walmart coopers…. I have a set of 285 70 17 and one wheel took 16oz to balance on stock wheels. The other three required 5-7 oz each.
I just installed these on my sequoia less than a week ago and the balance feels off already . They have what feels like flat spots with pretty good shaking for the first 5-10 minutes after cold start driving . Once tires are warmed up it almost goes away .
