I run Dunlop American Elites. Mind you, I do so because it’s a good tire - not so much a ‘Made in America’ reason, albeit a plus.
Dunlop SP Sport J6, my go to for budget tyres. The wet and dry performance is good although it can get a bit noisy over time.
Dunlop Roadsmart 4 is a very good tire.
Good grip and good mileage.
33" GT Radial Adventuro ATX are good in the snow
I had GT Radial Adventuro Mud tires a few years ago. I loved them.
20k miles, wore completely. However gotta say that they perform great when new/mid life.
Grippier enough to keep the car balanced on hard situations.
Cons: Dunlop SportmaxxGt tires are run flat, so can be noisy or tend to be harsh at ride.
20k is what I got out of mine. They aren't bald, but it's time. They aren't bad tires, but I don't feel any advantage over a quality all season like Michelins.
I drive a 05 wrx and have had both Blizzak WS80 and GT Radial Ice Pro 3 on it. I only got the GT Radials because I was in grad school and they were cheap. They get the job done, but are definitely not as good as blizzies. Obviously haven't done any scientific tests, but the steering feel is noticeably worse on the radials, stopping distance is much longer, acceleration worse. Frequently notice them understeering significantly on both wet and snowy roads.
I have a pair of Dunlop Wintermaxx’s and they seemed like great tires, very gripping with dry roads. However, when it rains or is wet, they seem to absolutely suck. I start skidding/sliding even on simple turns at low speeds, even in a round a bout.
GT Radial SX2s are the spec tire for the SoCal 86 cup and they are pretty shitty to be honest but they hold up well
