Tires DUNLOP or KENDA
72k miles riding year round and like the Dunlop, after trying different manufacturers. I now use the American made Dunlop Elite, but also liked the original one because they wouldn't break loose in winter.
Honestly man if you're looking for fun cheep tires, the Kenda 200utqg is available in your size its a good bet. It definitely slower than top dogs but it preforms well. Big plus on the kenda is they don't get destroyed by high Temps and have a long life. Plus if you run them on the street as well they do well in rain
I love mine. I got 40k on my last set. I just got the red letter kenda rt now. Keep them rotated every 3k, and they will stay quiet and ride amazing. I have 7k on my new set already and they look like new still.
One of the best tires on a Harley. Have had a problem in the past with 1 tire that was fitted on front for customer, but overall, really outstanding tire. The factory tires are also made by Dunlop, but the typical lifespan is around 3/4 of a Elite at best.
Kenda makes good tires, they're very popular in Asia. I got my set of Kenda KR20A 200tw, two 235 40 r18 and two 255 40 r18 for $550 brand new and they're extremely good grip wise, they do well in the canyons for me better than the set of indy500s I had on my car previously, however these make more noise than the indy 500s did and ride quality is slightly worse due to stiffer sidewalls but for half the price of other good performance tires I say kendas are good tires.
I noticed a slight swerve on the highway, which might be because the original Dunlop tires are wearing down.
Had them for a couple years. The way I drove they only lasted ~25k miles/set. Great for street and mileage but I got stuck a bunch off road.
Yea they have terrible treadlife; noticed more than half of it gone at 12k miles, with only 7k of those on the summer tires.
I've had them on my Tacoma for about 20-25k miles and they've gotten really bad on wet pavement lately. 90% of my driving is on pavement and these things are becoming a liability after it rains.
I'm at 31k on the factory 17" dunlops, I'm NOW starting to slide in the rain a bit
