Tires Falken or BFGoodrich
On a stock ’24 SR5 4x4 with 18” TRD Pro wheels, the biggest you can usually run without rubbing is 275/65R18 it fills the wheel well nicely and still clears at full lock.
Falken Wildpeak AT3W surprised me they cut through that slick layer way better than expected and stay predictable in rain
Honestly, if you want something that’s actually good and won’t punch your wallet in the face, Falken and Kumho are the two I recommend the most. They ride nice, last a long time, and don’t have that cheap-tire sketchy feel. Falken is usually the sweet spot solid grip in rain, quiet, and priced way lower than Michelin/Continental.
3 years ago I went to scout a trout lake... my absolutely stock OBW (save for tires, have Falken Wildpeak AT-Trails) handles it like an absolute champ. I thought for sure that I'd break something, but the car came out identical to how it came in, save for being much dirtier.
Wild peak are the best tires I’ve ever owned, on second pair for my 2015
285/70R18 Falken Wildpeak R/T01 tires measuring 34” on Discount Tire’s website, clear with no front, rear or UCA rubbing or contact on stock suspension and wheels.
Bf Goodrich KO2 ????
I got 285/70R17 Falken AT4ws either c or D I don’t remember but they’re loud lol
The Falken tires are indeed terrible. Mine needed to be replaced at just 18K miles. I recently opened a case with Mazda Corporate and they ended up reimbursing me for about 60 percent of my Michelin CrossClimate2s. The process was quick and their customer service was excellent.
Idk how Mazda still puts Falkens. Aside from the puncture being something that any tire would be affected by, on my 6 the Falkens were genuinely some of the shittiest things I’ve ever had. Wore so fast.
