Tires Falken or Vredestein
The only "all season" I've ever used and thought was good was the Vredestein Quatrac Pros, had those on a 2016 Jetta sport and even guy that installed them asked if they were snow tires. But those tires kicked ass, and were 3 peak rated
I got a set of Falken Pro G5\u2019s and 20 inch rims when my first set wore out. \nTires and rims were cheaper than a new set of 22\u201d anything. \nNow I can rotate so should get longer life as well.
Since your new one is a Vredestein Quatrac Pro+, I’d pick up another Quatrac Pro+ for the rear so both sides wear evenly and you avoid noise/vibration.
I put these on a couple weeks ago and was amazed this weekend just how well they handle in the snow and the cold. They felt a little weird for the first couple days after getting them put on, but now I never expected a rwd sports car to handle so well in the snow. Love them!
I moved to Falken Wildpeak AT4W 265/70/17’s on my non-lifted 2020 TRD Sport last year. No rubbing whatsoever.
Very happy I have the vredesteins a try because I was super happy with them.
dude i also run these! I love them, def doesn't seem like they get much attention or consideration but they are awesome and i feel so confident in winter with these on the car, im on my third winter with them!
Ran the Vredestein Wintrac Pro on my S3 last winter. They did fine. About the same as Michelin x-ice snows I had before. A little squirmy if you do any fun driving but that’s to be expected with a winter tire. They did surprisingly well on a frozen lake auto cross for a studless winter tire.
Horrible tires
these things are junk. When it’s cool outside they shake. I’m currently 2k miles in and the comfort and everything else is abysmal for a 60k car.
