Tires Firestone or LANDSAIL
I've had the Firestone Weathergrips on my Camry for 4+ years. Solid performance all around - better in snow than any all season tire I have used. Noise has gotten worse as they wear - there isn't any cupping or uneven wear - I think it is just the nature of the tire.
Get the Firestone All Seasons, or Firestone Wearhergrip All Weather tire. Both are excellent for snow, rain - any weather.
Firestone Destination AT2. Central Oregon driving in the deserts, highways, ice & snow while often pulling a travel trailer. “No regerts.”
I've enjoyed the "garbage" Indy 500s on my Challenger since shortly after I bought it, but they're getting up there in age and will be replaced in the spring. Quite possibly with another set. Had another tire in mind as a potential contender, but now I can't remember which one. That car is used for hauling butt on curvy roads, has never been driven in rain, but on hard packed snow. Then the Firestones are all but useless. And I'm sure that worn ones can be interesting in rain. I have DWS06s on a couple of vehicles and really like them, but if not driving on snow the DW version would be fine for me. They really impressed me on wet pavement, although that was years ago and tire offerings have changed.
i’ve got a 2.5 gen so i can’t say much on sizing, but check out land sail. i got ls588 UHPs on mine and ive never had a quieter, smoother ride with insane grip for sub $100 a tire.
17 inch borbets and 215/50R17 Firestone Winterforce 2 good solid winter tire had them on my veloster as well.
i have landsail ls588 Ultra High Performance tires on mine 245/40 R18s. good price and very quiet while having insane grip
My 2018 Stinger had the summers PS4S and they wore like crap. Replaced them with Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 extreme summers as I already had a 18" squared Blizzak set up. Cheapest summer only I could find that had decent reviews.
I wanted to write this because there are almost no reviews on this tire online. Firestone claims it's a big improvement over the previous generation. Traction is good on wet and dry roads. Slippage prediction is also decent. Road noise is fine. Ride comfort (in terms of feeling the road) is really good. Steering responsiveness is ABYSMAL. It's like driving an aquarium on top of a trampoline. Due to the fact the sidewall seems to be made of marshmallows, it's quite terrifying doing any aggressive driving. Highway driving, making turns specifically, is terrifying. Overall: Do not buy unless it's for rears only, or you're driving a car that is exceptionally light weight. If the steering and body movement responsiveness was fixed, this would be an excellent tire. Sadly the responsiveness is so bad, the tire feels legitimately dangerous.
i'd pretty much replace all firestone tires with a better brand.
