Tires Goodyear or FULDA
Just swapped in Goodyear Wrangler TrailRunner AT Light truck tires at 275/65/20 on Friday and they are night and day different from the road noise of the Scorpions.
I've been a Goodyear customer for almost 20 years. I've had their Assurance all-season on many cars and suvs. I used to swear by Michelin until I had to buy my own tires. That being said, Michelin at Costco seems ok.
You really need to get the new Goodyear Electric Drive 2's. They're amazing in wet weather and they're whisper quiet with no noticeable loss in range.
I got Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady2 on now and should be OK in everything short of ice.
The short answer is, No. This sub is an echo chamber. It skews very much to the purist side of racing. Reality - The racing is as good as it has been for a long time. The championship race was very encouraging. NASCAR and Goodyear seem to have found the correct tire combo for Phoenix which should help out Gateway and New Hampshire. That was the best Phoenix race we've had in a very long time from a racing standpoint. The Playoffs aren't as unpopular as this sub makes it out to be. Those who are happy are typically not the ones complaining about things on Twitter/forums/Reddit
The tires are good, BTW. I had them on my old car and was going in circles around others who apparently cheaped out on their tires. Like, had to help get a 4WD pick-up truck out of a ditch at one point.
I ran some good year winter tires for 8 winters before without issue.
Cc2 will last way longer than any other competitor. Goodyear weather ready is great for first 20k miles then it will become trash.
They gave me a new pilot and I immediately noticed these tires were not as smooth, comfortable or quiet as the CC2s I had been used to so for me I would say yes. These are just poor quality tires.
The one I personally actively avoid is Goodyear. I've only ever had one decent set of them and the rest have dry rotted faster than any other set I've bought. Their performance wasn't awful but even burning through a set of tires every 24-30mos, I shouldn't be starting to worry at 18mos when the tires are sporting lots of visible dry rot.
