Tires Goodyear or GOODRIDGE
Yes they are. I replaced mine with Sumintano HTRZ IIIs and things quieted down considerably.
Like Tim said above, it depends on the tire. Some are more dedicated to pure dry weather grip, some have a better rain compound and tread. Like poster #2 above, I have Goodyear F1's. The reason I chose those is because they are just about unbeatable in the rain, it's like driving on a dry road. They can stand the car on it's nose under braking, and grip harder when turning. They give up very little in dry ultimate grip, too.
It depends on the tire. My Eagle F1 GSD-3's are *awesome* in the rain.
yea, the Eagle GT's are what my mother has on her G35. Definitely resist hydroplaning well.
Great tire...Performs awesome in wet and dry conditions:
I really liked my Goodyear F1 All Seasons when I was living in Mass. They are an excellent combo for all weather conditions and performance.
The Kumho and the Conti were nearly identical when I had a chance to drive on them. but the Goodyears were a little quieter and should also be a little more durable.
I have them on myh '06 and they're not bad as far as traction goes. The only drawback is, mine are half worn and they have gotten noisier than all hell.
Thanks Jason! I was wondering why my GY F1 255/35/19's were rubbing in the rear. After I went with the GY's it started, no rub with the factory Contis.
mine are very noisy at about 40kmh/25mph.
