Tires Hankook or Continental
I’ve had both Blizzaks and Continental Vikingcontact on our vans. Both have been great. The Continentals are a little quieter on bare pavement, which is why I got them.
i just got a set for a hundred bucks off marketplace. Continental brand 225/60/R17 and theyre pretty damn good.
Our other car is a 2015 mazda 3 with continental vikings. No complaints there as well.
First driving impressions reveal that the ride is indeed much improved, speed humps are no longer intimidating and it rides much smoother and quieter on your typical city street.
People said these tires handle like garbage. I was skeptical—and yeah, they’re a bit squishy at first—but honestly, unless you’re trying to turn your grocery run into a Formula 1 race, they’re actually decent. The family has stopped complaining, which is a miracle; these tires actually soften the blow of our awful roads. Range is about the same, but the noise? Night and day. Old Contis were basically a marching band on wheels; now it’s quiet enough to enjoy the ride without wanting earplugs.
They have been fantastic, drove through huge rain storms and never felt unsafe once
Got a this set of GP5000 28mm last year and have not many miles on them, maybe 300-400 mi. total. Shame to see this sidewall fail so quick, is it a fluke? What could have caused it?
I run the Discount Tireequivalent of the control Contact sport all season on my scion XB daily. Quite as hard as ever put on that car, which has a lot of road noise. Sticks very well in the rain and heat, but I can’t attest to snow as cited above. They did wear a lot faster than their rated mileage so I got money back on the mileage warranty when I put on a new set recently.
Can’t believe they put those hankook grand touring tires on a performance model they handle noticeably worse than the Michelin pilot sport all seasons
Oh, and the Continentals you drive off the lot are dogshit, the tread pattern is just not great. Absolutely *not* an all-season tire.
